Igiko Management Tools 5.3

Igiko Management Tools 5.3 introduces a PowerShell connection repair wizard for Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines and a refreshed full-width interface. Service and monitoring stability have also been improved.

New Features

PowerShell connection repair wizard

If Igiko Management Tools cannot connect to a Hyper-V host or virtual machine, or performance charts stay empty, you can now run a repair wizard from the host or VM page. It checks the connection, configures CredSSP and WinRM trusted hosts when needed, and shows its progress and the list of fixes applied. If the problem is on the remote machine, the wizard explains what to do.

Full-width interface

The web interface now uses the full width of the browser window, and the side menu can be collapsed to free up space. Charts adapt to the window size.

Improvements

Monitoring for hosts with dedicated credentials

Performance charts now work for Hyper-V hosts connected with a separate user account.

Service stability

The Igiko Management Tools service restarts automatically if it uses too much memory, and it queries hosts for service data less often.

No browser cache clearing after upgrade

After an upgrade, the browser loads the new version of the interface right away — no need to clear the cache.

Clean install and uninstall

Uninstalling Igiko Management Tools now removes all of its system settings, and the tunnel is configured correctly right after installation.

Bug Fixes

Fixed permissions for VMs migrated between hosts, VM packages and templates, and paging in the permissions list.
Fixed errors when creating a VM right after its virtual disk is copied.
Fixed VM creation from templates without configurable parameters; template names can no longer be empty.
Fixed automatic CredSSP configuration when connecting to hosts.
Fixed an error when editing VM settings.
